SYSTEM OF A DOWN" RECOGNIZED "BEST ALTERNATIVE GROUP OF YEAR" AT MTV-EUROPEAN MUSIC AWARDS

LISBON, NOVEMBER 9, NOYAN TAPAN. The "System of a Down" famous rock
group was recognized "The best alternative group of the year" at the
MTV-European Music Awards held on November 3 in Lisbon and followed
by more than billions of viewers.
At the "MTV-European Music Awards" held with participation of
such stars as Madonna, Robbie Williams, Shakira, groups "Goldplay,"
"Gorillaz" and other famous singers, the "System of a Down" performed
a song on an anti-war subject. All of the four musicians of the group
are Armenians.
According to the "Marmara" newspaper of Istanbul, receiving the award,
soloist of the group Serge Tangian declared: "The civilization is
dying, we must unite and solve our problems." |
