In September 2006, famous Napoleon canvas of Jacques Louis David will be exhibited among many other paintings in Armenian National Picture Gallery.
Speaking with a REGNUM correspondent spokeswomen to Ministry of Culture and Youth Gayane Durgaryan mentioned that exhibition in Yerevan will take place within 1.5 – 2 months. All organizational questions have not been still specified, but it is already known, that among masterpieces of Louvre works of famous tracing-paper graphic artists, series of Musa Dag canvas from French Marini museum will be exhibited. Also, France by the Night Light and France, Seen by Photographer’s Eyes photo-exhibitions are planned to be organized.
Also, Gayane Durgaryan informed that reciprocal visit of the National picture-gallery to Louvre is scheduled within of framework of Armenian Year in France, which will begin in October of next year.
It should be reminded, that after meeting of Armenian Minister of Culture Gevork Gevorkyan with adviser to French Ambassador to Armenia Ani Mori on March 17, the French side suggested to organize cultural events in Armenia too, in particular, to exhibit canvas of French artists in the National Picture Gallery.
